Wanderboat × Unisong · first creator campaign

Stop searching places. Start matching vibes.

Wanderboat is running its first creator campaign, and it splits into three. Three different creator pools, three different things to prove, three briefs that would fight each other inside one video. This page holds everything the three have in common. Each brief gets its own page.

The product

Google Maps discovery, Instagram's eye

Wanderboat is the vibe-first lifestyle insider. Google Maps optimises for logistics: an address, an opening hour, a route. Wanderboat is about how a place actually feels. It takes the visual inspiration people already trust on Instagram and puts it on an interactive map, so you can find hidden gems that match your exact aesthetic.

Wanderboat app search results: restaurant cards with creator video thumbnails, ratings, price and an AI-written summary of the room.
Every result carries the room, not only the rating.
Wanderboat app home: a map of San Francisco above a Today's Inspo feed of visual place cards.
Inspo feed sitting on a live map.
Wanderboat community tab: a grid of user posts about Bay Area restaurants with author names and like counts.
Community posts feed the same index.
The behaviour we are replacing
  1. Get the vibe

A Reel or a photo on Instagram sells you the room.
  2. Copy the name

Out of the app, into the clipboard.
  3. Switch to Maps

Open a second app to find out where it is.

Wanderboat closes that gap. Instagram's eye for the inspiration, map navigation for the execution, one app, one motion.

Mission

Help people spend less time scrolling and more time living, by turning the world's social content into a map of moments worth experiencing.

Credibility

#2 Product of the Day and #4 Product of the Week on Product Hunt, organically. Good proof if a video wants it, and there are screen assets on the launch page. Nobody has to carry it.

Why this campaign exists

Round one buys understanding

This is the first campaign, so the job is to establish what Wanderboat is and where it beats a traditional map. Installs matter later. We want creators to show how easy and how fun local discovery gets once you stop searching and start chatting. If a viewer finishes the video able to explain the product to a friend in one sentence, the video worked.

Show the chat, not the feature list

The behaviour change is the message. Type a full request in your own words instead of guessing at keywords.

Show the room before the visit

A visual card separates this from a ranking. Let the screen sit long enough to read one.

Show yourself actually going

Discovery that ends at the screen proves nothing. Get to the place and film it.

Why three briefs and not one

The split comes from what people actually ask

We read the top and most-upvoted local-life posts on r/AskSF, r/AskLosAngeles and r/AskCalifornia to find out what Californians really ask about going out. Then we checked the resulting scenarios against topic volume on Instagram and TikTok, and cross-validated with Google Trends.

Day trips and solo trips

Short trips out of the city, solo-travel advice. Real, but small.

No creator pool
The 21% is the strategic one

Hyper-personalised requests barely exist as a searchable topic on social, which is why the demand only surfaces on Reddit. It also happens to be the one need where Wanderboat can do something competitors cannot. That earns it a brief and a creator pool of its own instead of a paragraph inside the lifestyle work.

Message bank

Four highlights. Every video carries at least one.

These are the four things the campaign is trying to make true in a viewer's head. Each brief names the ones it has to carry. Combine them freely; do not substitute.

No search anxiety

Message 1

Instant inspiration, so you can just live in the moment.

Got zero weekend plans and tired of doomscrolling? Cure the decision paralysis. Skip the endless Google searches: swipe the visual Inspo Feed, or chat with us like the one friend who always knows the coolest spots. "Hey, give me some fun things to do near me." Curated places and experiences in seconds. Less time searching, more time living.

Mandatory in brief 01

No more mid places

Message 2

Visual, vibe-first hidden gems.

Tired of basic, soulless places recommended by standard maps with zero aesthetic taste? Wanderboat is a vibe-driven interactive map. It scans social content, filters out the noise and surfaces hidden gems you never knew existed. Preview places through Instagram-worthy visual cards and catch the exact mood before you step out.

Mandatory in brief 01

Hyper-specific searches

Message 3

Built for requests standard maps cannot handle.

Ever tried finding a spot that is dog-friendly, cozy, gets golden-hour sunlight, and serves natural wine? Standard map apps break when you search like a normal human. They force you into rigid keywords and ignore the vibe you are actually after. On Wanderboat you do not need to overthink your search terms. Type the request and the mood, however specific or chaotic, and we translate your raw thoughts into the right spot in seconds.

Mandatory in brief 02

Vibe to FSD, inside your Tesla

Message 4

From inspiration straight to navigation, on the centre screen.

Find your next spot on the big screen and let Tesla handle the drive. Wanderboat runs right inside the Tesla browser: search for your aesthetic hangout using natural chatter on the centre display, scan the QR code to push the address to your Tesla app, and let FSD navigate you straight there. You never type an address. Tap, sit back, enjoy the ride.

Deliverables and requirements

Read this alongside your brief. Where a brief adds a requirement, like the Tesla end card or the mandatory comparison, the brief wins.

Primary deliverable

1–3 vertical videos
9:16, minimum 35 seconds, posted on the channels named in your agreement.
The app, in use
The video has to show Wanderboat and how you are using it. For Brief 03 that means wanderboat.ai in your Tesla browser, plus the iOS and Android shout-out at the end.
At least one highlight
Every video presents a minimum of one message from the bank. Your brief names which are mandatory.

Posting and cross-posting

Collab or credit
Invite @wanderboat_ai as a collaborator on Instagram Reels, or tag @wanderboat_ai as the featured tool.
Community crosspost
Optional: share the finished video into the Wanderboat community feed.
CTA and tracking
The UTM link goes in your bio and/or link-in-bio tool and/or the caption, and the caption has to prompt viewers to check the link explicitly.

Rights and terms

Usage rights and whitelisting
With raw assets and clean-file delivery. Scope and duration are set in your individual agreement.
90-day ad code
Required, not optional.
Exclusivity
No sponsorship of, or mentions of, competing mapping and discovery apps such as Yelp or TripAdvisor for 14 days after posting.
One clause to confirm before Brief 02 books

The exclusivity term forbids mentions of competing mapping and discovery apps. Brief 02 requires an on-camera comparison against Google Maps and Yelp. We read the clause as covering paid or promotional mentions of competitors rather than comparison inside Wanderboat's own content, but it needs to say so in writing before the showdown creators sign. Otherwise all thirty of those videos are technically in breach.

Creative direction

Two things at once

Like you

Authentic, conversational, and organic to whichever platform you are posting on. Shoot it the way you shoot everything else. Content that does not sound like your channel will not perform on your channel.

Like Wanderboat

Exciting, fun, driven by vibe and visual discovery. In this campaign the product is not a utility. It is the thing that got you out of the house.

Avoid

Overly polished, ad-like content. The more it looks like an ad, the less it proves. Past that: be creative, and go crazy with any format you think might go viral. Nothing here is a template.

Hooks and CTAs

The hooks on each brief page are starting points we wrote from the message bank. Wanderboat keeps a separate Hooks & CTAs document that is the canonical list. Request it before you script, and treat it as the source over anything here.

Before creators are briefed

Open with the client

Everything on this site comes from the two briefing documents. These are the gaps we did not fill with assumptions, and each one blocks or changes something concrete.

  • The Hooks & CTAs document

Referenced in the brief but not shared. Until we have it our hooks stand in for it, and creators may script off the wrong list.

  • Exclusivity versus comparison

Confirm in writing that comparison content inside Wanderboat's own campaign is exempt from the 14-day competitor-mention clause. Blocks Brief 02.

  • UTM and ad-code mechanics

Who issues the UTM links and the 90-day ad codes, in what format, and by when. Needed before the first creator posts.

  • City density

Which cities have the content density to support hidden-gem claims. Recruitment should concentrate where results are dense enough to be impressive on camera.

  • Round-one window

Start date, the monthly cadence of 200–300 videos, and whether the three briefs launch together or Brief 01 leads.

  • Spanish-language split

How much of the 120–150 creator pool is Spanish-language, and whether messages need approved Spanish copy rather than creator translation.
